WE TALK ‘ABOUT WINE’

WHO WE ARE

Disgorgeous is a wine-focused group of industry professionals who don’t take ourselves too seriously, based mostly in the USA, producing stories about wine in various media outlets.

We produce podcasts, write zines, make shows, talk shit, and generally have a good fucking time when it comes to talking about the things no one ever wants to talk about with wine, like its human costs, its ugly histories, its beautiful philosophies, and its brutal realities.

If you’re looking for tasting notes, you’ve come to the wrong place.

zines

DISGORGEOUS ZINE is the non-podcast output of our collaborative wine network and occasional wine friends, edited by Miguel de Leon and art directed by Claudia Leung.

issue 1: delicacy

We talk about bread, Clos Rougeard, the aftermath of a natural wine scandal, why we should drink more margs, Chris Renfro of the 280 Project, and hotdogs.

issue 2: color

We talk about Müller-Thurgau, shatter, the Veneto, how wine color is a social construct, our true feelings about Pinot Gris, and recipes using Mega Purple.

issue 3: terroir

We talk about terroir through the eyes of educators, sommeliers, geologists, restaurant workers, and winemakers; and offer the world’s worst wine pairings.

issue 4: R*BERT PARKEr

We talk about the outsize influence of wine critics, the points system in coffee, Beaux Frères, Kermit Lynch, and well-done steak with ketchup.

STOCKISTS FAQ

WHAT IS DISGORGEOUS ZINE?
Think the worst newspaper at the ugliest college but about wine and 9/11. It’s going to absolutely destroy your brain and remake you.

HOW CAN I GET A COPY OF THE ZINE?
Hard copies of issues 1, 2, and 3 are available at our stockists above, or via digital access on PATREON.COM. We’ll update this space if anything changes, but we’ll keep making these for a while.

We also make a limited-run, full-color archival copy of every issue, available first to our patreons. To secure your archival copy or for PDF access, please email us or DM us on Instagram. Make sure to send us your address, dingus.

HOW MUCH IS THE ZINE?
Digital downloads of the zine are $5USD, or free for our patreons at the $5/month level.

Standard copies, printed on bond in black-and-white, have an MSRP of $6USD, available at the stockists above.

Full-color archival copies printed on glossy paper are available for $25USD. At the $10/month level, patreons are guaranteed a full-color archival copy sent straight to an address of their choice.

HOW CAN I STOCK THE ZINE?
Easy! Click the button above if you’re interested, and tell us if you’re in for a standard drop of 20 zines or a stockist subscription, which is the equivalent of five standard drops over the next five issues. Please note: our zines only come in black-and-white and we’re not currently selling stockists any archival copies yet. We’ll handle domestic shipping to your store every time a new issue drops (international shipping costs money!), and list you as an official cool wine store on the list above.
